Edge Rendering

6min

Caduceus drives the Metaverse with a unique edge rendering capability that provides multimedia and game developers with direct access to a blockchain-integrated, GPU-powered object edge rendering capability.

This means new high performance blockchain supported applications such as games and AR/VR will be low latency, high throughput and action-driven. Gaming activity benefits from instantaneous access to storage, processing and rendering computing power.

Caduceus has self-developed a secure and efficient image transmission protocol to enhance the network optimization usage of cloud edge rendering. These enhancements include image information cache matching, adaptive video compression, intelligent transmission control, zero bus peripheral mapping and ne-grained transmission channels.

Edge Rendering End-to-End
Edge Rendering End-to-End

The design of Caduceus’ Decentralized Edge Rendering Technology is organized into 5 main parts:

• Edge service framework • Network protocol • End-to-end interaction engine • End-to-end scheduling system • Application development tool chain

Edge Service Framework

The Edge Service framework encapsulates the wider service, incorporating specific modules including the game engine and the rendering and streaming services.

Network Protocol

The network protocol sits between the edge service framework and the wider system. It creates connectivity between the Edge Service and the metaverse end user, providing a conduit for low latency streaming and two way data interchange.

End to End interaction engine

The interaction engine oversees data processing and communication across the Edge Service Framework, providing seamless connectivity between the rendering and streaming services, and the renderer at the end user.

End to End Scheduling System

The end-to-end scheduling system intelligently balances edge node computing power with the user’s local rendering capabilities in order to schedule rendering service processing between the user terminal or at the edge node.

Application development tool chain

Application development tooling available with Caduceus takes advantage of the latest SDKs for frameworks such as Unity and Caduceus' own XR Dev Kit that integrates specialised hardware. This allows accelerated development of applications in such areas as blockchain-assisted gaming, industrial internet, autonomous driving, smart transportation, and VR/AR.

Decentralized Edge Rendering brings together ultra-low latency, massive data processing, edge intelligence, data security, and cloud collaboration. These are just some of the factors that drive app developers to benefit from Caduceus' edge rendering solutions.
